A long time ago I had a vision of opening a community
center for families who took charge of their children's
education. A place where these families could go for
classes, seminars, group activities and more. Finding a
building for my vision was not an easy thing to do. In
fact I couldn't find a place.
Recently I have been given the privilege of using a
grange hall in Vancouver. I really feel this will be the
start of my vision. I see good things happening here!
I wanted to keep the grange hall activities separate from what I do here with the field trips, but after a lot of thinking I decided this will just be the next natural step in the building of my business. I never used to think of what I do as a business, but that's what it's becoming.
It's not linked yet, but below in the menu, you'll find 'Grange Hall Happenings'. On the first and third Tuesday of every month something will be happening at the grange hall from 12:30pm to 2:30pm. On June 5th we will be gathering there for either a picnic or, if the weather isn't nice to us, a potluck inside. I think this first time together should be a time for getting to know each other, playing together and asking or answering questions. A kind of pick each others brains sort of thing and sharing ideas.
The cost for this is $5.00 per family and you must RSVP because of the grange hall occupancy.
There will not be set up fee charges for the grange hall activities and these will be listed separate when I send you your individual lists of what you are signed up for. Sorry about not sending it this month. Crazy, busy times!
For now you'll need to RSVP to me here, if you want to come to any of the activities, but for the next week or so, I'll be setting up pages for School at Home Adventures, which is the name I'm using for the grange hall activities and the name I'm going to change this website to. More on that later.
